During the 2010 Emmy Awards, recording artist Jewel performed a song in memoriam to celebrities that had passed away this year.  She had written the song as a tribute to her friend who had succumbed to cancer.

It was quite touching and got me thinking about a heart-breaking story I read in the Dallas News the other day. If you’re a woman, and especially if you’re a mother, there’s little doubt you will empathize with what the story was about.

A young mother, 43 years old, lost her fight with stage-4 breast cancer.  She had endured debilitating chemotherapy treatments, mouth sores, painful blistering skin, and more with unwavering hope.  But what she could not endure was the thought that her three young children would grow up with no memory of her.

Despite her poor prognosis and debilitating treatments she continued the fight.  She told her oncologist she just needed 10 more years so her children would have memories of her when she was gone.  With that end in mind she continued chemotherapy as the doctors jumped from one drug to another.  But it was to no avail. Two years after her diagnosis, she lost her life to cancer.

How much longer will this go on?

According to the United Nations’ Cancer Research Agency cancer will kill more than 13.2 million people a year by 2030. That’s twice the number that died from cancer in 2008.

What about all the advances in medicine we read about?  What about the groundbreaking technology we hear about on the evening news? Wouldn’t you think the medical community would have a strong clue as to what really causes cancer and how to best treat it?

Sadly, it’s not the case.

It’s scandalous how traditional cancer treatments do much more harm than good.

However, the medical community will never be upfront about this.  The vast majority of conventional doctors will continue to hand out drugs, recommend radiation, and perform surgeries as the “best” treatment available. And people who trust their doctor will accept their courses of treatment unquestioningly.  Most people are willing to do anything to reverse what they think to be a death sentence.

The outrage is these “solutions” are not only incredibly expensive (and here’s the REAL outrage,) they include dangerous drugs that do much more harm than good.

Some of the best-selling cancer drugs cost thousands of dollars a month yet they haven’t been proven to do one bit of good.  No improvement in quality of life or in longevity.

On the contrary. They’ve actually been proven deadly.  And the doctors know it.

The very drugs doctors prescribe to cure cancer is proven to cause cancer in healthy people.  Oh, the irony.  Cancer patients are more likely to die prematurely from the chemotherapy than the cancer itself.  And if the deadly cocktail doesn’t get you sooner rather than later, chemotherapy treatments increase your risk for other cancers down the road. In addition, they set you up for other illnesses by weakening the immune system and causing genetic alterations.

And get this.  A study published in Clinical Oncology found that chemotherapy has only a 2% success rate for all cancers, “success” referring to a 5-year survival rate. Only 2%?  Considering the way most conventional doctors rush into chemo, you’d think it would be a slam-dunk.

Far from it.

Documentation shows that chemotherapy can hasten or cause death.  It’s little wonder because in order to destroy cancer cells the drugs must be extremely toxic.  The problem is these toxins destroy healthy cells as well; in turn disabling your body to do anything to deal with the cancer on it’s on.

And then there’s this overlooked and ignored fact…

Natural, alternative cancer treatments do no harm at all.

Natural cancer treatments take an entirely different approach.  They work with your body instead of against it.  No deadly side effects and they increase the body’s ability to heal itself.

Natural cancer treatments are vast and varied and if you or someone you love has been diagnosed with cancer, you may want to contact a natural health care practitioner. They can help and guide you through your toughest medical decisions with knowledge about nutrition, alternative methods, and emotional help so you can get well and finally get your life back.

Don’t settle for a death sentence whether it is through cancer or the treatment used to “treat” it.  There are other options available.

Reasons For Tattoo Removal

Reports of human behavior studies revealed that most individuals have tattoos done during their youth, when they are still impressionable. Sometimes, these young people get their tattoos just to give in to peer pressure, as most of their friends would also likely have skin on ink. These same individuals would become full-fledged adults and regret getting their tattoos.

The Dangers And Sacrifices Of Tattoo Removal

Ink on skin can put at risk a person his or her position in more conservative settings such as banks. Tattoos of ex lovers’ names tattoo can be awkward for those who are in a new relationship.

Tattoo Removal: Decisions And Regrets

Ah, the impulsivity of youth! As stated by a cosmetic medical practitioner who does tattoo removals, a large majority (more than 1/2 of the population) of those persons who have tattoos would wish to have them removed after some time.

Techniques For Tattoo Removal

We will spare you the gory details, but tattoo removal procedures have already come a long way. Through the years, tattoo removal techniques have evolved from the outdated (and often painful) processes of skinning, rubbing off, and excision to tattoo removal methods that utilize state of the art technology.

Laser technology application in the form of Q-switching can ensure a pain-free tattoo removal. The science works by bombarding the ink pigments of the tattoo with concentrated light pulses until the pigments are broken down. The pigments are then absorbed in the body.

Laser tattoo removal may need several visits to the clinic to see a significant reduction of the tattoo’s prominence on the skin. Most doctors cannot guarantee a whole removal of tattoo for some cases. Factors such as the age of the tattoo and the colors of ink applied are taken into account if erasability is discussed. Darker inks disappear almost totally, and newer tattoos are more often harder to erase.

In conclusion, here is a reminder: it is by far more expensive to have a tattoo removed than getting one done. It adds more to the pang of regret.

Keeping The Promises Of Liposuction True

People are most likely to consider a liposuction procedure for vanity purposes. Everybody desires to look and feel good. But experts from a credible aesthetic surgery centre offering liposuction talks about the realistic expectations patients should have in mind about the procedure. Liposuction is not a red pill one consumes at night anticipating to wake up in an altogether different and more beautiful body in the morning.

Successful liposuction operations entail the intelligent, cheerful, and healthy mind set of the candidate, especially with regards to the effects.

Candidates can first off start by discerning what liposuction is. Simply, liposuction is a function that sucks the fat accumulations in certain parts of the body. A doctor uses a stainless steel tube called a cannula, inserts this onto the area by surgical incisions on the skin, and connects the tube onto a powerful suction machine to extricate the fat.

Oftentimes, people dispute liposuction to cure obesity, but this is not the case. Liposuction is not a treatment for obesity. Patients dealing with this problem should work closely with a nutritionist for a combination of workout and dieting that will aid in resolving the problem by supervising calorie levels in the body. Liposuction is hazardous where 8-10 pounds of fat is tried to be expelled in a single sitting. While liposuction can help overweight people, so long as they have been stably overweight for years, it is not a cure for obesity.

What then is the measure of successful liposuction? It is in the basic fact that a person’s form has dramatically altered. This does not mean a change in body size completely. A person may still be viewed heavy if he or she compares himself or herself with someone who is naturally slim. A successful lipo operation sees the patient loving his or her new shape, heedless of how slim other people appear to be.

Another thing to remember is that fat elimination in liposuction is enduring. However, if a person regains weight, the tendency for the fat to transport to another part of the body rises.

For fullest results, patients are advised to exercise and eat a sensible diet to make liposuction successful. Most important of all, is the responsibility for taking care of one’s body particularly after the operation.

Lastly, there is another technique known as laser hair removal, which is also the most expensive. The most important benefit of this technique is that its results last forever. However it must be carried out by a skilled expert in order to avoid accidents and skin injury.
