When I no longer could sleep through the night, I knew it was time to find a natural treatment for tinnitus. The buzzing, roaring, whooshing noises are worst at night when the world is at its most quiet. Problems with sleeping are one of the worst effects of tinnitus.
I made my living for years playing mostly rock and roll in bands 3 or 4 nights a week. The guitars were loud but I think what caused me the most trouble was the drums. The cymbals crashing is what gave me the ringing of ears that I experienced.
It started as a ringing of the ears after playing music and sometimes continued into the next day before it went away. Then it didn’t go away. The first effect for me was noticing the ringing at night when I was trying to sleep. The ringing stood out clearly when there was silence.
I went to the doctor and was prescribed betahistidine. It gave temporary relief but of coarse wasn’t a cure. The side effects were not good either as I experienced nausea.
Tranquilizers were the next answer and they were even less effective as they only made me calmer in my suffering. The ringing was getting worse and again the side effects from tranquilizers were uncomfortable. Another doctor suggested surgery and that’s when I knew that I needed to research a natural treatment for tinnitus.
I discovered that meditation, deep breathing and yoga type stretching exercises brought me some relief. The key, I found out, was increasing the circulation.
Dietary changes were the next area to work on. I cut out salt completely as it can lead to fluid buildup in the inner ear area. Late nights and alcohol to extremes were next on the “don’t do” list. I learned that nicotine and caffeine make the vessels carrying blood shrink and this decreases circulation.
Ginkgo biloba has been found to increase the blood flow to the ears and as a herb has no side effects. Research in Germany showed that tinnitus patients taking 160mg. of gingko every day showed definite improvement.
Opening up your blood vessels seems to be key in treating tinnitus and niacin is great for this. It increases the amount of oxygen and nutrients that are delivered to the brain and the inner ear. Zinc has also helped many tinnitus patients. Researchers found that 50mg a day helped many people with ringing of the ears to find quiet for the first time, especially at night when the ringing can seem to be at its worst.
I found that a combination of the above as a Natural Treatment For Tinnitus worked for me. The program I’m using is specific and holistic. I’m not totally recovered but I know that I’m on the path to a cure for tinnitus. Read more about my experience and what’s working for me Here.

The loss of hearing capabilities at three connected frequencies for a range of at least 30 dB is referred to as sudden hearing loss. This condition can occur instantly or for an extended period of up to three days. Most of the people who have experienced the condition loose hearing ability in one ear.
The condition also varies in severity from one patient to another. However, when compared to other hearing problems like conductive hearing loss, sudden loss of hearing is more intensive. This is because it affects certain specified frequencies meaning that one might still have problems with certain sounds even when using a hearing aid. This condition is also called sensorineural hearing loss.
There are very many causes of hearing loss. However, only ten to fifteen percent of the patients suffering from sudden hearing loss are sure of what caused their condition. The most probable causes are bacterial infection from other diseases, viral infection, head trauma and toxic causes such as snakebite.
With the lack of specific causes of sensorineural hearing loss, many treatment methods have faced controversies. However, some remedies have been used to treat many cases in the past. These include carbogen therapy, systemic steroids, vasodilators and anti viral medications. Some people are also known to leave their cases untreated.
Today people have formulated other ways of dealing with the problem. One such way is the use of hearing aids. These have proved quite useful but are still limiting to some people especially due to their cost. This is because most of the insurance covers do not cater for hearing aids and the manufacturers offer them at very high prices. All these factors have prompted many people to abandon their plans of using these devices to improve their hearing condition.
If you are faced by such a situation, the best thing is to opt for low cost hearing aids, which will help you improve your life. There are many independent sellers offering these devices on the internet at much lower rates than the manufacturers dealership outlets. With the high competition among these sellers, you can be assured of getting the device at a lower cost. You will also have access to the latest technological advancement and style.
When purchasing such a device, it is important to remember that sensorineural hearing loss impinges on certain frequencies at a time. This means that an expert in this field has to be consulted to give an opinion on the choice device.
Another important thing to note is that most of them have directional microphones. This means that you will most likely hear what is facing you. However, it is important to go for one with a switch that turns of this direction property allowing you to hear everything around you for better management of your sudden hearing loss.
Not entirely sure how to deal effectively with Sudden Hearing Loss ? Get the low down now in our complete conductive hearing loss guide.

3. Veinous Hum : Patients who are malnutritioned, pregnant, or have thyroid Problems, may develop increased blood flow through the jugular vein, which amplifies the sound of blood flow in the ear.
4. Narrowing Of The Arteries ( Atherosclerosis ) : Atherosclerosis is the narrowing of the artery due to cholesterol build-up on the artery wall. This condition decreases the opening of the arteries. Trench mouth earned its name during the First World War, when soldiers who fought along the trenches began to have problems with their teeth and gums. Because of inadequate dental care, they did not have good oral hygiene, finally resulting in gingivitis. Over time gingivitis worsened and they are ill with a disease called trench mouth.
We all have bacteria in our mouth, but when the bacteria grows out of control the result is trench mouth. Overgrowth of bacteria in the mouth, causing severe infection in the mouth, causing damage and destroy the delicate gum tissue supporting the teeth. If the condition worsens large ulcers form. These ulcers are filled with additional bacteria, food particles, and decaying gum tissue. Eventually, the most common trench mouth symptoms are acute gum pain, halitosis, and bad taste in my mouth.
Bacteria is the main culprit that causes trench mouth, but there are other risk factors that increase the risk of trench mouth and may even aggravate the trench mouth. Trench mouth is commonly linked with people in third world countries who have poor and/or lack of hygiene; nevertheless, trench mouth is still rampant in major countries because of the result of untreated gum and mouth infections. Poor and/or deficient oral hygiene such as failed to brush the teeth and floss daily can lead to a buildup of plaque on the teeth and gums. This development of plaque makes the ideal location for bacteria to thrive and grow.
Poor nutrition can also increase the risk of the person developing trench mouth. Insufficient amounts of fruits, vegetables, and essential nutrients trouble for the body to deal with infections. Undernourished children especially in the Third World are particularly susceptible to trench mouth.
The person who smokes and / or chewing tobacco increase the risk of trench mouth. Smoking and chewing tobacco damages the blood vessels of the gums, so it is easier for bacteria to grow and prosper.
A person suffering from a lowered immune system is also at a risk of getting trench mouth. Illnesses that commonly suppress a person’s immune system include: AIDS, cancer, and mononucleosis. Another problem that can usually weakened a person’s immune system is emotional stress. Stress suppress the immune system and makes it hard for the body to fight infections. Infections, particularly infections of the throat, teeth and mouth can also cause trench mouth, if not treated effectively.
Ganesh Chovorick defines the trench mouth symptoms to provide everybody a essential information regarding to this condition so that people will be aware in such condition. This article, Finding The Cause Of Trench Mouth is available for free reprint.
