Pyorrhea is caused by bacteria build-up located the gum line that form deep pockets of infection. This infection burrows deep into the structures of the mouth and jaw and ending with the loss of bone and teeth if untreated.. Like most any gum disease can be completely cured with a right brushing and flossing. Advanced infection like pyorrhea can be cured but the damage it may have caused could be lasting.
The most effective way to fight the infection is first to distinguish the symptoms. Red, bleeding and swollen gums are all early signs. There is certainly no pain in the beginning stages. Most natural peppermint and spearmint oils can eliminate bacteria effectively. In other cases, you can find products that contain these natural oils in their purest form that can spit and swished.
Pyorrhea can be effectively eliminated, provided you follow the advice of your dentist, take the proper pyorrhea treatment and improve your oral health care habits. If the infection was advanced, and you lost one or more teeth or have lost the ligaments and bone that support your dentist will consider surgical options that can help restore more normal functioning of your mouth.
